PRIVACY

Most tools process files on your device.

Most tools read and process selected files inside this browser tab. Peer-to-peer sharing tools send files directly to the recipient you choose. Forkgen does not receive files sent through those tools.

01What happens to files

Most tools read files into the tab's memory, process them, and offer the results as downloads. Temporary in-memory data is cleared when the tab closes or reloads.

Peer-to-peer sharing and the whiteboard send data directly between the two browsers over an encrypted WebRTC connection set up by exchanging codes. Forkgen servers do not relay or store that shared data.

02What the browser keeps

Nothing about your files is saved. A few tools keep settings you create, only on this device:

Resume builder
Your resume draft, in this browser's local storage, so it survives a reload. Use the Clear saved draft control in the tool to delete it.
GST invoice and POS billing
Invoice templates you save, your shop details, product catalogue and the last 100 bill totals, in local storage. Logos are never stored.
Search
The last few tools you opened, in session storage. It is cleared when you close the tab.
AI and OCR models
When a tool downloads a model (see below), the browser may cache it for reuse. Clear site data in your browser settings to remove cached data.

03Optional downloads

Most tools run from this site's code. A few download models or language packs from the providers below when needed. These downloads do not include your files.

OCR in languages other than English
Language packs from cdn.jsdelivr.net (tesseract.js data).
Speech to text, PDF read-aloud voice file
Speech models from huggingface.co.
Remove image background
The segmentation model from IMG.LY's CDN.

04No accounts, no tracking

There are no accounts, file history, or analytics scripts. Your browser may cache site code and downloaded models. Previously loaded pages and assets may work offline, while tools that need additional downloads require an internet connection.
