Files processed on your device01 How it works
- Add an audio file or record.
- Transcribe, or paste your own transcript.
- Download the searchable PDF.
02 Good to know
Automatic English transcription downloads a model on first use, then runs on this device. Recognition may mishear speech; review the PDF. A supplied transcript bypasses recognition. The source audio is attached and can make the output large.
03Transcribe or provide the words
Choose an audio file and spoken language, then select Fast, More accurate or the larger English model. The model downloads to your browser for local transcription. You can instead paste a transcript to make a PDF without running speech recognition.
Recognition can mishear names, overlapping speakers, accents, technical terms, or quiet speech. Read through the transcript and correct it before creating a record you plan to share or rely on.
04Keep the source audio with the document
The generated PDF contains the transcript and can include the original audio as an attachment. Turn off that option when the PDF should contain text only.
A transcript does not capture every pause, speaker identity, or sound unless it is stated in the recognized words. Use the recording to check uncertain passages.
05 Questions
Does audio transcription happen on my device?
Yes. The selected speech model runs in the browser after it downloads. The first use downloads a model, with size depending on the accuracy option.
Can I attach the recording to the PDF?
Yes. The original audio is attached by default. You can switch off the attachment option before generating the PDF.
Can I choose the spoken language?
Yes. Choose a language from the selector before transcription. Recognition quality can vary with the audio, accent, background noise, and selected language.
