02 Good to know
Recognition runs on your device. Handwriting recognition can make mistakes. Check the recognized text.
03Choose how the PDF should work
Same layout keeps the handwritten page image and adds searchable text beneath it. Typed text creates a new document from the transcript. Both recognition modes pause before export so you can compare each recognized line with the original and correct it. Clean scan keeps the page image without recognition.
You can add missing words within a recognized line or clear a line to remove it. The review cannot add a text region where recognition found no line. If no readable lines are found, try a clearer photo or use Clean scan. Check names, dates and amounts; recognition is not a verified transcript.
04Combine photos without recognition
Add JPEG or PNG photos to place the pages in a PDF. The clean-scan option can improve paper and ink contrast; it does not change the writing into typed text. Choose a page size or keep each image near its original dimensions.
For multi-page OCR, use one PDF at a time. Check the final PDF for missing pages, rotated images, and OCR errors before you file or share it.
05 Questions
Will the PDF keep the original handwriting?
Yes. Same layout keeps the handwritten page image and adds searchable text beneath it. Clean scan also keeps the page image; typed text mode instead lays OCR text out as a new document.
Can I trust the OCR as an exact transcription?
No. Review and correct the recognized lines before creating the PDF, then check the result against the original. The PDF uses your confirmed text; the review does not detect missing regions or guarantee accuracy.
