Camera capture depends on browser permission and device support. Edge trimming is symmetric and does not detect paper corners or correct perspective. Optional English OCR adds a searchable text layer; check recognition accuracy.
03How to scan documents to PDF
Choose Use camera and allow browser camera access, or add photos you already have. Each photo becomes a page in the order shown. Reorder or remove pages before creating the PDF.
The edge control trims the same percentage from each side of every photo. It does not detect paper corners or straighten a page photographed at an angle. For best results, photograph a flat page in even light and check the preview before saving.
04Add searchable text when you need it
A scan is an image of a page. Turn on Make text searchable (OCR) to add an invisible text layer that can be selected and searched. English is built in. OCR is limited to 20 photos and 25 MB total, and recognition can miss text, especially faint or handwritten content, so check names, dates, and amounts.
Camera access depends on your device and browser permission. If a camera is unavailable or blocked, add photos instead.

Can I scan without a physical scanner?

Does the tool automatically detect page corners and straighten photos?
No. The edge control trims a uniform percentage from all sides. It does not detect corners or correct perspective.

Yes. Enable OCR to add an invisible, searchable English text layer. OCR supports up to 20 photos and 25 MB total; review the recognized text for errors.
