Audio is decoded and processed in this tab at its original sample rate. Results are saved as WAV.

01 How it works

  1. Choose one audio file.
  2. Set gain from 0% to 500%.
  3. Download the adjusted WAV.

02 Good to know

Gain is limited to prevent clipping, so the output may be quieter than the requested percentage. Browser codec support applies; each input is limited to 300 MB and three hours, with browser memory limits applying.

03Increase or decrease audio volume

Choose a file and set the volume percentage. 100% leaves the gain unchanged, lower values reduce it, and higher values boost it. The processor limits boosts to prevent clipping, so the actual increase can be below the requested percentage.

The adjustment applies to the whole recording. It does not compress dynamics or make different recordings match in perceived loudness.

04Output and limits

The result is a WAV file. The browser must decode the input; files are limited to 300 MB and three hours, with browser-memory limits applying.

05 Questions

Will setting volume to 200% always double the output level?

Not always. The processor caps gain when a larger boost would clip the loudest samples.

Does volume adjustment change the file to MP3?

No. The adjusted audio is saved as WAV.
