Audio is decoded and processed in this tab at its original sample rate. Results are saved as WAV.

01 How it works

  1. Choose one audio file.
  2. Set fade-in and fade-out durations in seconds.
  3. Download the faded WAV.

02 Good to know

Each fade is limited to the audio duration. If the fades overlap, the lower gain is used. Browser codec support applies; each input is limited to 300 MB and three hours, with browser memory limits applying.

03Set audio fade-in and fade-out durations

Choose a file and set the fade-in and fade-out lengths in seconds. A fade gradually changes the sample gain at the start or end of the recording. Each duration is limited to the file length.

If the ramps overlap, the lower gain applies at each sample. Preview or listen to the saved WAV to check how the fades meet and whether they affect wanted audio.

04Supported input and output

The result is a WAV file. The source must decode in your browser, and each input is limited to 300 MB and three hours, subject to browser memory.

05 Questions

Can the fade-in and fade-out overlap?

Yes. When they overlap, the processor applies whichever ramp gives the lower gain at each point.

What format does the fade tool export?

It exports the faded audio as WAV.
