Audio is decoded and processed in this tab at its original sample rate. Results are saved as WAV.

01 How it works

  1. Choose one audio file.
  2. Set the start and end times in seconds.
  3. Download the trimmed WAV.

02 Good to know

The selected range must be within the file and end after it starts. Browser codec support applies; each input is limited to 300 MB and three hours, with browser memory limits applying.

03How to trim audio

Choose a file, enter the start and end positions in seconds, then download the selected section as WAV. The end must be after the start, and both positions must fall within the decoded file.

The cut uses the decoded audio samples. A shorter selection still becomes a 16-bit PCM WAV, so its size depends on its duration, sample rate, and channel count.

04Supported files and limits

The browser must support the source codec. Each input is limited to 300 MB and three hours, with additional browser-memory limits. If a codec cannot be decoded, try a browser-supported WAV, MP3, AAC, Ogg, or FLAC file.

05 Questions

Can I keep a section from the middle of a recording?

Yes. Set the start and end times around that section. The result contains only the selected range.

Does trimming export MP3?

No. This tool downloads the selected audio as a WAV file.
