Audio is decoded and processed in this tab at its original sample rate. Results are saved as WAV.

01 How it works

  1. Choose one voice recording.
  2. Set the low-cut frequency and gate threshold.
  3. Preview the WAV and check that quiet speech remains clear.

02 Good to know

This lightweight filter reduces low-frequency rumble and lowers very quiet samples. It does not identify speech or remove steady broadband noise, room echo, or music; listen for clipped word endings before keeping the result.

03What voice cleanup does

Choose a low-cut frequency and a gate threshold. The low-cut filter reduces frequencies below the selected point, and the expander softens very quiet samples. This can reduce low rumble and quiet noise between phrases.

This is not speech recognition or a spectral denoiser. It does not identify speech, remove steady broadband noise, music, or room echo. A high cutoff can thin a voice, and an aggressive threshold can soften breaths or word endings, so listen before keeping the WAV.

04Choose settings and review

Start with the default settings, then adjust the rumble cutoff and quiet-sample threshold if needed. The output is WAV. Inputs are limited to 300 MB and three hours, subject to browser codec and memory support.

05 Questions

Will voice cleanup remove fan hiss or room echo?

No. Its low-cut filter and expander do not remove steady broadband hiss or room echo.

How is this different from background-noise reduction?

Voice cleanup applies a low-frequency cut and softens quiet samples. The denoise tool uses FFmpeg's adaptive spectral noise-reduction filter.
