01 How it works

  1. Add a PDF.
  2. Choose a style.
  3. Download the recoloured PDF.

02 Good to know

Pages are recoloured as images and the original text is kept as an invisible, searchable layer.

03Invert PDF colors or choose another color treatment

Select a style, then choose pages and image quality. Dark mode keeps images natural; full inversion changes all page colors. Grayscale, sepia and high contrast offer other ways to recolor the document.

The output pages are images. Turn on Keep text selectable to add a searchable text layer over them. Check that layer against the visible page before relying on copied text.

04Review readability and file size

Higher image quality can increase the output size. Check small type, colored charts and scanned pages in the downloaded PDF, especially if you plan to print it.

Color inversion changes appearance; it does not edit the original wording or improve the source document's accessibility.

05 Questions

Will the converted text stay searchable?

You can keep text selectable with the option. The visible page is still an image, so review copied or searched text for accuracy.

Which style should I use for dark reading?

Start with Dark mode, which keeps images natural. Full invert also changes image colors.
