01 How it works

  1. Add a PDF with tables.
  2. Choose pages, sheet layout, and optional OCR for scans.
  3. Download the .xlsx.

02 Good to know

Numbers, currencies, percentages and valid ISO dates become numeric cells. Borderless columns are inferred from text positions. Optional OCR reads image-only pages, up to 25 MB and 20 selected pages; verify recognized values against the scan.

03Extract PDF tables into a workbook

Add a PDF, choose the pages to process, and download an XLSX workbook. The converter uses table borders where available and text positions for borderless tables.

Numbers, currencies, percentages, and valid ISO dates such as 2026-10-15 become numeric cells for calculations. Ambiguous dates such as 02/03/2026 and identifiers with leading zeros stay as text. Choose a separate sheet for each page when that layout suits the document.

04Check inferred rows and columns

The converter has to infer table structure from where words appear on the page. Inspect column boundaries, row order, and values in the workbook, especially when the source uses merged cells, wrapped labels, or irregular spacing.

Turn on OCR scanned pages to read image-only pages during conversion. OCR accepts up to 25 MB and 20 selected pages. Verify recognized values against the original, especially dates and amounts.

05Preserve the original for comparison

A PDF does not usually contain spreadsheet formulas or cell relationships. The output extracts visible table content; it does not restore calculations that were not present in the document.

Keep the PDF as a reference while checking the workbook. For comma-separated output, use PDF to CSV.

06 Questions

Can I convert a PDF table to Excel?

Yes. The tool infers table rows and columns from selectable PDF text and writes an XLSX workbook.

Will formulas from the PDF be restored?

No. It extracts visible values and does not recover spreadsheet formulas or source cell relationships.

What if the PDF is scanned?

Turn on OCR scanned pages, choose the language, and check the extracted values against the page images. OCR accepts up to 25 MB and 20 selected pages.
