Extract frames from video as PNG images
Extract frames from video at a chosen time interval and download the sampled still images. Free to use, with no sign-up required.
Files processed on your deviceThe browser decodes and samples this video locally. Seeking lands on the nearest keyframe and some codecs may not be supported.
01 How it works
- Choose one video file.
- Set the interval between sampled frames.
- Download the PNG frames in a ZIP.
02 Good to know
Frames are sampled through browser video seeking, so timestamps are approximate and may depend on keyframe placement. The output is limited to 120 frames, 16 megapixels per decoded frame, and a 32 MB ZIP. Increase the interval between frames if the output is too large. Browser codec support is required; files can be up to 500 MB.
03Choose an interval for video frame extraction
Select a video and set how many seconds should pass between sampled frames. The tool saves the selected frames as PNG files in a ZIP archive.
Frame times are approximate because the browser seeks through the video and may land near a keyframe. The tool caps exports at 120 frames, 16 megapixels per decoded frame, and 32 MB per ZIP. Increase the interval if the batch is too large.
04Limits and compatibility
The browser must decode the source. Files can be up to 500 MB, but a smaller file can still fail if its codec is unsupported or the device runs short on memory. Choose a wider interval for a shorter review set.
05 Questions
Are extracted frames exact at each timestamp?
No. Browser seeking can land near a requested time, depending on keyframe placement.
How many frames can I save?
The ZIP is limited to 120 frames and 32 MB, with a 16-megapixel limit per decoded frame. Increase the interval to reduce the batch.
