01 How it works

  1. Add a PDF.
  2. Pick the new size and how content should fit.
  3. Download the resized PDF.

02 Good to know

Content is scaled as vectors, so text stays sharp. One point is 1/72 inch.

03Set the output page size

Choose a paper preset or enter custom width and height in points. Automatic orientation follows each page's current orientation; you can also force portrait or landscape. Use the page selector when only part of the document needs a new size.

Page size means the dimensions of each PDF page. It does not directly reduce the file's size in megabytes. Use Compress PDF when an upload or email has a file-size limit.

04Decide how content should fit

Fit scales the whole page proportionally to stay inside the new bounds. Fill scales it to cover the bounds, so some edges may extend beyond the page. Stretch fills the page but can change proportions. Keep size leaves content at its current scale and centers it on the new page. Set a margin to leave space around the content.

Resizing creates a new page layout. Review the output before printing, particularly if you use Fill, Stretch, or Keep size, since each handles the original edges differently.

05 Questions

Can I resize a PDF to A4 or Letter?

Yes. Choose A4, Letter, Legal, A3, or A5, then select the content fit and orientation.

Can I enter a custom PDF page size?

Yes. Select Custom and enter a positive width and height in points. There are 72 points in an inch.

What is the difference between Fit, Fill, Stretch, and Keep size?

Fit scales the full page inside the new bounds. Fill covers the bounds and may crop edges. Stretch changes proportions to fill the page. Keep size preserves the original content scale and centers it.

Does resizing make a PDF file smaller?

Changing page dimensions does not set a target file size. Use Compress PDF to reduce the PDF's storage size.
